At the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) summit in Tallinn, the leaders of the countries agreed that their assistance to Ukraine in 2025 will presumably exceed EUR 12 billion, according to a joint statement.

At the summit, agreements were concluded on additional measures to provide practical assistance to Ukraine and ensure further and strong cooperation with the countries of the Joint Expeditionary Force in the future. It is expected that these countries' military assistance to Ukraine in 2025 will exceed EUR 12 billion, the statement says.

JEF is a defense cooperation format led by the United Kingdom, which in addition to Estonia includes the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland. The idea of JEF is to provide first aid before NATO's Article 5 is declared. Crisis responses developed within JEF complement NATO's activities.
