Zelenskyy expects Umerov to report on talks after his return from South Korea
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to report on the negotiations after his return from South Korea.
"Today is a very active day in general: many meetings, including at the highest level, with Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov in the Republic of Korea. On my instructions. Rustem Umerov also spoke with the President of South Korea, with his colleague – the Minister of Defense, as well as with the National Security Advisor," Zelenskyy said in an evening video address on Wednesday.
According to the president, in South Korea Umerov discussed all aspects of Russia's involvement in North Korea's war, and what can be done together to protect the Ukrainian and South Korean peoples.
"The presence of not only missiles and shells from North Korea in Russia's arsenals, but also soldiers at the front is the globalization of the war that Russia has entered into and which can only be stopped globally. And after Minister Umerov's return, I expect his report on the negotiations in Seoul," the head of state emphasized.
