UK not publicly transfers new batch of Storm Shadow to Ukraine – media

The United Kingdom handed over a new batch of Storm Shadow to Ukraine a few weeks ago without public announcement, we are talking about dozens of such cruise missiles, Bloomberg reports.

"According to people familiar with the matter, the UK government has recently supplied Ukraine with dozens more Storm Shadow cruise missiles, for the first time under Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who promised to continue supporting the country's war against Russia," the agency said on its website on Tuesday.

It is noted that "the deliveries, which were not publicly announced, took place several weeks ago and were ordered after Kyiv ran out of long-range missiles."

It is noted that the missiles were sent before the recent decision of the United States and Great Britain to allow Ukraine to launch long-range missiles at targets in Russia.

Storm Shadows are high-precision air-launched missiles with a range of more than 250 km (155 miles). They fly close to the terrain at high speeds using a combination of so-called inertial navigation with a global positioning system and terrain navigation.
