Sandu's result inside Moldova reduces her ability to carry out European integration reforms
Maia Sandu's result in the presidential elections inside Moldova reduces her ability to carry out European integration reforms, deputy head of the Holos faction Yulia Klymenko believes.
"The results [of the presidential elections] are on the brink... Sandu will have difficulties in governing the state, since her result inside the country is a loss, which reduces her ability to carry out complex reforms that are necessary for European integration. And since we are going together to the EU, this will also complicate our accession," Klymenko told Interfax-Ukraine said.
According to Klymenko, "before the parliamentary elections, Russia will invest a lot of resources" to destabilize the situation in Moldova and bring a pro-Russian coalition into parliament.
Parliamentary elections in Moldova will be held in 2025.
