Scholz: Russia should participate in Peace Summit, but we won't accept peace dictated by Russia
During a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasized that peace in Ukraine must be established only with respect for international law. He also said that the second Peace Summit should be held with the participation of Russia.
The Chancellor recalled that after the first peace conference in Bürgenstock there will be another one in June, adding that Russia should also take part in it. He also emphasized that peace can only be based on international law, which will require enormous efforts.
Scholz expressed confidence that joint actions will continue to be driven by the desire to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
"We will not accept a peace dictated by Russia," he said.
