AFU advance 0.5-1.5 km in Kursk region since midnight, they already have 82 settlements under their control – Syrsky
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced up to one and a half kilometers in certain directions in Kursk region since the beginning of the current day and by now they already control 1,150 square kilometers of territory, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky said.
"Since the beginning of the current day, our troops have advanced from 500 m to 1.5 km in certain directions, repelled three enemy counterattacks, and continue conducting offensive operations. In total, since the beginning of the operation on the territory of Kursk region, our troops have advanced 35 km in the enemy's defense. Some 1,150 square kilometres of territory and 82 settlements have been taken under control. In general, the situation is under control," Syrsky said in a report to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff Headquarters on Thursday.
