JSC Odesa Port-Side Plant is forced to abandon the preliminary plans to start production from June 1 this year after conservation, carried out in early April.

"Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Odesa Port-Side Plant management, the launch of its production facilities for production of chemical products from June 1, 2022 became impossible," the company's message on Facebook says.

A particular threat to the work of the enterprise is missile attacks that the enemy inflicts on Odesa region, trying to destroy important infrastructure.

"These acts of aggression pose a direct threat to the life and health of the plant's workers and cause significant risks for the environmental safety of the region," the company said.

According to the report, now the plant is analyzing the objective expediency of attracting workers to perform duties during the period of martial law.

They also stressed that due to the impossibility of launching the plant, the financial situation at it remains extremely difficult and unstable.

At the same time, Odesa Port-Side Plant indicated that recently they had taken all the necessary measures to resume its work, in particular, they signed an agreement with a provider company that declared its readiness to fulfill all financial obligations despite global instability in the energy markets and the war in Ukraine.

As reported, on April 4 this year, the mayor of the city of Yuzhne, Volodymyr Novatsky, announced that Odesa Port-Side Plant and the sports complex Olymp, which belonged to it, were mothballed, and their employees were sent on indefinite leave.
