The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine on September 26, 2018 received an application where individual citizen of Ukraine Sergiy Tigipko is seeking to receive a permit to acquire over 50% shares in PrJSC Kuznya on Rybalsky Plant (Kyiv) indirectly via Avins Limited (Cyprus).

"Now the application is being analyzed and checked if information is full and documents attached to it are enough," the committee told the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine agency on Friday.

"If the application is accepted, it will be considered in terms foreseen in Ukrainian legislation," the committee said.

Earlier the TAS Group of Tigipko said that the group has reached a preliminary agreement on acquisition of PrJSC Kuznya on Rybalsky Plant.

"After receiving a permit from the regulator, the sides plan to continue finalizing the deal," the press service of the group told Interfax-Ukraine.

The cost of the deal and the term for finalizing it are not disclosed.

Kuznya on Rybalsky is a famous shipyard on the Ukrainian market. The key shareholder in the plant privatized in 1995 is the non-diversified corporate investment fund Prime Assets Capital (earlier Petro Poroshenko fund, Kyiv).
