Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Gontareva, who has been waiting for consideration of her resignation letter since May 2017, is currently in Kyiv and is ready to report to the Verkhovna Rada, the central bank's press service has reported.

"This is the photo response to the reproaches of some politicians that Gontareva is outside Ukraine. Today she expected an opportunity to make a report in the Verkhovna Rada and visited the National Bank of Ukraine," reads a report on the Facebook page of the central bank.

In confirmation of what was said on the page, the photo of Gontareva on the background of the central building of the National Bank of Ukraine dated January 19, 2018 has been posted.

As reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on January 18, 2018 submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft decrees on the dismissal of Valeriya Gontareva from the post of NBU governor and the appointment of Yakiv Smolii to this post.
