Oschadbank plans to increase funding for renewable energy projects by 30% in 2018

State-controlled Oschadbank (Kyiv) plans in 2018 to increase funding for renewable energy projects by 30%, the figure will exceed EUR 57 million, the press service of the financial institution has said.

"In 2018 Oschadbank plans to spend more than EUR57 million on financing four renewable energy projects with a capacity of 69.7 MW. These are the projects of building biogas plants with the capacity of 34.7 MW for the amount of EUR30 million in Volyn, Chernihiv and Sumy regions, and the construction of solar power plants with a capacity of 35 MW for the amount of EUR 27.5 million in Dnipropetrovsk region," the report said.

Oschadbank said lending will be secured, in particular, due financing from the EBRD and the EIB.

The press service noted earlier Oschadbank had already financed alternative energy projects with a total installed capacity of 77.6 MW for EUR 161 million.

"By the end of 2017, it is planned to complete financing of three more projects for the construction of solar power plants with a capacity of 22.5 MW in Odesa, Vinnytsia and Kherson regions for a total of EUR 12.79 million," the bank noted.
