NABU: UAH 32 mln returned to accounts of State Food-Grain Corporation

Some UAH 34 million have been returned to accounts of public joint-stock company State Food-Grain Corporation as part of investigation into a criminal case against embezzlement of UAH 50 million, the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has reported.

"The NABU's task is not only to solve a crime, punish persons guilty in committing it and destroy corrupted schemes, but also to return seized funds to the state. In the past several months the bureau has returned UAH 69 million to the state," the press service of NABU said, citing its Head Artem Sytnyk.

As reported, NABU detectives on July 26 detained Tomilenko along with the chairman of the board of PJSC Rokytne grain enterprise. The detainees are suspected of creating a corrupt scheme, which caused the embezzlement of about UAH 50 million in state funds.
