Ukraine, Turkmenistan sign several agreements

A number of international agreements have been signed during the first official visit of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to Turkmenistan, the presidential press service has reported.

In particular, the parties signed agreements on agriculture, industry, the further development and strengthening of cooperation in all areas of internal and external tourism, joint investment projects, and specialist training.

The governments of Ukraine and Turkmenistan signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture. The agreement will provide a mutual exchange of information, experience and advanced technology in agriculture, and strengthen bilateral cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit, mutual respect, and sovereign equality.

The countries also signed an agreement on industrial cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of Turkmenistan. The agreement is aimed at creating a mutually beneficial competitive environment in the industrial products market between the two countries and provides for the establishment of the Intergovernmental Council on Industrial Policy, which will analyze the state of cooperation in this area and accept appropriate proposals on deepening industrial cooperation to create favorable conditions for the innovative industrial development of the national economies.
