Ukrgazvydobuvannia head denies Yeremeyev's companies owe debts to company

Board Chairman of public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia Serhiy Kostiuk has denied that companies affiliated with businessman and MP Ihor Yeremeyev owe debts to the company.

He told Interfax-Ukraine that at present, only national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy owes debts to the company.

Kostiuk said that the company is ready to present information on its current debts to Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.

"If a request is sent, I'm ready to present any information on the debts to the company," he said.

He said he was perplexed over information that was published on the government's website, referring to Yatseniuk, adding that the information is not true.

"It's hard for me to comment on the issue, and there were no preconditions," he said.

As reported, Yatseniuk has instructed Naftogaz Ukrainy to immediately replace the management team of its subsidiary Ukrgazvydobuvannia and demanded that Yeremeyev pay a large debt to the company.

Yatseniuk, in a telephone conversation with Yeremeyev, told him that unless these debts are paid within 72 hours, the police will start criminal proceedings against the companies controlled by Yeremeyev on the charge of causing intentional damage to the state.
