Nova Poshta has started providing express delivery services on the domestic market of Moldova.

According to the press service of the company, four offices in three cities were opened in a test mode - Chisinau, Cahul and Balti. The company uses the registered international trademark of Nova Poshta for work on foreign markets.

"Now Moldova is actively developing online shopping, industry and food retail networks, therefore the demand for express delivery services both in business and among the population is growing," reads the report citing director for the company's development Serhiy Kovalenko.

According to him, at this stage the company is focusing on address delivery, but eventually it plans to expand its presence and develop postal services between the offices.

The company also notes that Moldova as an associate member of the European Union is a promising direction for making business.

"Like on most markets in Eastern Europe, there is a strong state monopoly in Moldova, which controls about half of the market of domestic shipments, and the representatives of the Big Four: DHL, TNT, UPS, FedEx," reads the report.

As reported, Nova Poshta offices were opened in Georgia on October 2.
