June losses of national budget from conflict in Donbas 1.5 times more than in May, says official

The losses of Ukraine's national budget in the form of non-received taxes and duties due to warfare in Donetsk and Luhansk regions continue growing, in particular, in June they were 1.5 times up on May, Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Ihor Bilous has said.
"While in May we lost UAH 420 million, in June the figure was UAH 630 million," he said at a briefing on Thursday.
He said that in general, in June 2014, the fiscal service sent UAH 22.3 billion to the budget, which is 3.3% down on June 2013. Collection of VAT from goods made in Ukraine came to UAH 6.2 billion, which is 70% of the target for the month, and VAT from goods exported came to UAH 7.8 billion, which is 88% of the target.
In addition, the June profit tax came to UAH 2.2 billion, which is 12% down on the target, while excise duties totaled UAH 2.4 billion, which is 10% up, he said.
"The positive thing is that UAH 8.7 billion was collected by the customs service, which is 9.8% up on June 2013," he added.
In general, the national budget received UAH 75.8 billion in taxes and duties in January-June 2014, which is 1% up year-over-year, but 1% down on the target set by the Finance Ministry, Bilous said.
"Despite the period of anarchy in the tax service, the annexation of Crimea and actions of terrorists in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, we've collected UAH 75 billion, which is 101% compared to 2013. In general, we've 99% fulfilled the tasks set by the Finance Ministry," he said.
