The Ukrainian media advertising market in 2013 increased by 11% and amounted to UAH 10.553 billion, reads a report by the Ukrainian Advertising Coalition, posted on its Web site.

The leading advertising vehicle still remains television. In particular, the volume of the TV advertising market in 2013 amounted to UAH 4.440 billion, which is 14.8% more than in 2012. The coalition experts believe that television is the driver of many processes on the media market - from the legal framework and the market structure to the creative content of advertising.

"We are expecting all evolutionary and possibly revolutionary changes in the future of the advertising industry to be either initiated or related to TV. Perhaps, this word will have a new sense, meaning professional video content rather than the delivery of video signal or a specific device for viewing," reads the report.

The coalition forecasts that in 2014 the TV advertising market will grow by 10% mainly due to media inflation planned by advertising sellers.

The market of advertising in the press, on the contrary, declined. In the past year, it decreased by 3.3% and amounted to UAH 2.56 billion.

"Print media, due to the increased demand for online sources of information, are likely to lose popularity. However, all is not so tragic, especially in the segment of glossy editions," said the experts.
