Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov and Finance Minister Yuriy Kolobov have departed for the United States to meet with investors, an employee of the first vice premier's secretariat told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.

"The first vice premier is in the United States," the source told the agency.

According to the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia. Ukraine newspaper, during a four-day unofficial visit a number of seminars on investment attractiveness of Ukraine will be held aimed at negotiations with a big investment company, Franklin Templeton Investments, with the headquarters in San Mateo (California).

As reported, a mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will arrive in Kyiv for talks with the authorities on January 24. The sides will discuss a new cooperation program.

Ukraine's payments to the IMF in 2012 amounted to $3.74 billion at the current exchange rate, while in 2013 Ukraine will have to repay $5.8 billion.
