Ukraine's national budget deficit UAH 7.73 b up in September, says Finance Ministry

The deficit of the national budget of Ukraine in September 2012 increased by UAH 7.73 billion, or by 46.4%, and over the first nine months of 2012 came to UAH 24.38 billion, the Finance Ministry reported on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, the general fund's deficit in September increased by UAH 7.9 billion, or by 55.6%, to UAH 22.11 billion.

As reported, in August the surplus of the national budget was UAH 280 million, against a deficit of UAH 10.23 billion in July.

According to the ministry, in September the revenues of the national budget came to UAH 25.61 billion, while those of the general fund were UAH 20.1 billion, which is 3.3% and 0.5% up on 2011 respectively.

At the same time, in September expenses of the national budget grew by 20.1%, to UAH 33.08 billion, and those of the general fund by 15.6%, to UAH 28.01 billion.

Over the first nine months of 2012, the revenues of the national budget were UAH 246.32 billion, and those of the general fund were UAH 208.55 billion, which is 8.7% and 10% up from 2011 respectively.

At the same time, over the period, the expenses of the national budget grew by 15.2%, to UAH 267.26 billion, and those of the general fund were up by 15.1%, to UAH 231.18 billion.

The 2012 national budget, taking into account amendments made this year, in revenues grew to UAH 373.92 billion, and the general fund to UAH 322.19 billion, which is 18.9% and 21.2% up from 2011.

The expenses of the 2012 national budget increased through various amendments are UAH 405.89 billion, those of the general fund are UAH 352.79 billion, which is 21.7% and 22.8% up from 2011.

The ceiling deficit of the national budget for 2012 is set at UAH 31.13 billion, including a deficit of the general fund of UAH 27.24 billion, while last year the deficit of the national budget was UAH 23.56 billion, including a deficit of the general fund of UAH 20.94 billion.
