Shmyhal: we introduce ‘Fight or work’ principle to bring labor market out of shadows
We are introducing the "Fight or work" principle, which provides for the introduction of a number of measures that will bring the labor market out of the shadows, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
"In two and a half years, we have managed to attract almost $100 billion from our partners. We are very grateful to our partners, this is what gave us the opportunity to fulfill all social obligations to Ukrainians on time," Shmyhal said at the “Ukraine 2024. Independence” forum in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister stressed that today there is a critical need to raise additional funds in the budget.
According to the prime minister, among other things, it is proposed to increase domestic borrowing, increase income tax rates for banks, expand the base for military levy and increase military levy rates for individual cases.
"We are also introducing the principle of ‘Fight or work,’ which provides for the introduction of a number of measures that will bring the labor market out of the shadows. This is an important moment for increasing the number of jobs and increasing average salaries in industries and filling the budget," he stressed.
