FC Shakhtar Donetsk has signed a five-year contract with Brazilian midfielder Bernard, the club's press service has reported.

"The transfer value of the Brazilian midfielder, who previously played for Atletico Mineiro, is 25 million euros," reads the statement.

The 20-year-old Bernard Anicio Caldeira Duarte has played for Atletico Mineiro since 2010 and in 2013 won the Copa Libertadores. In November 2012, he made his debut for the Brazilian national team.
