Shakhtar Donetsk has failed to secure the Ukrainian Premier League title after the 25th round of the league, ending the game against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk with a 1-1 draw.

Dnipro striker Matheus opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Shakhtar captain Darijo Srna converted a penalty kick won by Fernandinho.

Shakhtar has collected 70 points from 25 games. Metalist Kharkiv has 55 points, Dynamo Kyiv - 53 points, and Dnipro - 49 points.

Shakhtar can secure the league title in its home match against Metalist on April 28.
