The UNITED24 initiative together with monobank has launched a collection of UAH 100 million for the restoration and support of Okhmatdyt National Children's Specialized Hospital, the UNITED24 press service said.

"Our task is to help Okhmatdyt recover. To save children again. To give hope. To bring them back to life," the initiative's official Telegram channel said.

As reported, on the morning of July 8, a Russian missile attacked the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv. So far, more than 20 wounded are known, seven of them are children. Two adults, including a doctor from Okhmatdyt, died. Rescuers and ordinary Kyiv residents continue to clear the rubble.

Okhmatdyt is the largest children's hospital in Ukraine, where more than 20,000 children from all over the country are treated annually. The missile completely destroyed the toxicology building and damaged four others. Ten surgical departments, five oncology departments, two somatic departments, intensive care, two intensive care units, operating rooms, radiology and radiation therapy departments, and part of the oncohematology laboratory (the only one in the country) were damaged. The children were evacuated to other hospitals in the capital.

At the moment, more than UAH 12.6 million have already been collected, in particular, the Aurora multimarket chain (UAH 5 million), the Silpo chain (UAH 1 million), and Varus (UAH 1 million) have responded to the call of UNITED24 and monobank.
