On Friday, February 9, the U.S. Senate voted to consider the merits of the bill, which includes assistance to Ukraine; 70 draft amendments to this bill were officially registered, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova said.

"Today we thank the Senate for the next step forward. On February 9, 2024, the Senate continued debate on the U.S. International Assistance Bill HR 815, which provides for appropriations of $60.06 billion for assistance to Ukraine, as well as assistance to other states. Some 64 senators voted for the decision to consider the bill on the merits (motion to proceed), with the required 51, and some 19 senators voted against. Now 70 draft amendments to HR 815 have already been officially registered," Markarova wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
