Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal had an online conversation with Prime Minister of Luxembourg Luc Frieden, the press service of the Ukrainian government reports.

The parties focused special attention on strengthening sanctions against Russia and freezing Russian assets.

"Luxembourg is making a significant contribution here. We must jointly develop a mechanism for confiscating these assets, which can become a valuable resource for the restoration of Ukraine," Shmyhal noted.

The interlocutors also discussed the implementation of joint agreements reached during the meeting between the Prime Minister of Luxembourg and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Davos.

"We are grateful for the support of Ukraine's European integration aspirations and the Ukraine Facility financial mechanism for EUR 50 billion. We appreciate Luxembourg's leadership in creating the IT coalition, as well as joining the F-16 coalition," Denys Shmyhal.

The heads of government touched upon the issue of Ukraine's recovery. Shmyhal also thanked Luxembourg for supporting the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine.

Frieden, for his part, assured that Luxembourg would continue to provide Ukraine with comprehensive assistance and support as long as necessary.
