Putin can't tell anything interesting to the world – Tusk
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk considers excessive attention to Vladimir Putin's words.
"This is not a person who utters too interesting thoughts. So, to be honest, the world contemplates Putin with care, with interest, because he is the author of dramas, tragedies and problems of the whole world. President Putin has nothing interesting to say to the world," he said in Kyiv on Monday, speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to students of Kyiv universities.
According to Tusk, "the only thing that arouses the interest of the world is that, unfortunately, he is ready to use violence all over the world."
“Therefore, I would prefer that we be able to effectively combat Putin's policies than that we listen to or quote his words, listen to his monologues or speeches. Apart from the conviction that everything belongs to Russia and such pride on his part, I can't find anything interesting in his words," said the Polish Prime Minister.
Zelenskyy, for his part, recalled one of the conversations with Putin before the start of the large-scale invasion. He had information about a preschool-age boy from the occupied Crimea, whose mother was "drowned" and his father was arrested.
Зеленский попросил Путина выпустить отца. Путин, по его словам, начал спрашивать подчиненных, знают ли они что-то об этом. «Такая, знаете, театральная постановка», – сказал Зеленский.
Zelenskyy asked Putin to release his father. Putin, he said, began asking subordinates if they knew anything about it. "This is, you know, a theatrical production," Zelensky said.
