In Mariupol, Russian invaders announce extension of school year until Sept 1 - Andriuschenko

In Mariupol, the Russian invaders announced the extension of the school year until September 1, adviser to the mayor of the city Petro Andriuschenko said.

"The occupiers announced extension of the school year until September 1. That is, without holidays. The main goal is de-Ukrainization and preparation for the school year according to the Russian program. Children will be taught Russian language and literature, Russian history and mathematics in Russian all summer," Andriuschenko wrote in the telegram channel on Thursday morning.

According to him, the invaders plan to open nine schools in Mariupol. "However, now they have persuaded only 53 teachers to work for them. Some six teachers per school is a vivid illustration of Russian education in Mariupol during the occupation," he said.
