The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Turkey – Dmytro Kuleba and Mevlut Cavusoglu – agreed to focus on organizing a meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and Russia Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.

"We agreed that we will concentrate our efforts on organizing a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, since we understand that it is with President Putin that we must resolve all key issues related to ending this war," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said at a press conference following the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to Ukraine.

The minister confirmed Ukraine's readiness to continue working on all diplomatic tracks to stop Russian aggression against Ukraine and withdraw its troops.

In turn, Cavusoglu announced readiness to organize a meeting between Zelensky and Putin in Turkey.

"As part of this process, we will organize a meeting between Mr. Kuleba and Minister Lavrov in Antalya, but now we are focusing our efforts on organizing a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and Russia. We also express our desire to organize such a meeting here," he said.

Cavusoglu also pointed out that it is very difficult to talk about a date for the meeting of the presidents, because first it is necessary to prepare the basis for this meeting so that both leaders are ready for it.

The Turkish Foreign Minister added that, based on the results of his visits to Russia and Ukraine, it is rather difficult to talk about the end of the war in general, but noted that hopes for a ceasefire have increased.
