In Mariupol, Russian troops take hostage doctors, patients of hospital - regional administration head

In Mariupol, Russian troops took hostage doctors and patients of the hospital, one of the hospital workers managed to convey the corresponding message, head of the regional military administration Pavlo Kyrylenko said.

According to Kyrylenko, it concerns Regional Intensive Care Hospital in Mariupol.

"It's impossible to get out of the hospital. They're shooting hard, we sit in the basement. Cars can't drive to the hospital for two days already. High-rise buildings are burning around... Russians drove 400 people from neighboring houses into our hospital. We can't get out," the hospital employee said in a message, which was published by the head of the regional military administration in the Telegram channel.

He also said that the other day Russian troops almost destroyed the hospital, but the staff and patients still stayed in the basement.

"Russian monsters do not have enough destruction - now they have made hostages out of people. I appeal to international human rights organizations with a demand to respond to these malicious violations of the norms and customs of war, to these egregious crimes against humanity. Russia and each of its citizens involved in crimes in Ukraine must be punished!" Kyrylenko said.
