Rada deprives Kyva of MP mandate – MP Zhelezniak

The Verkhovna Rada has deprived Illia Kyva, a member of the political party Opposition Platform - For Life, of the powers of a member of parliament.

Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Holos faction, confirmed this information to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent on Tuesday.

"Yes, parliament has deprived Kyva of his mandate. There were 335 votes in favor," he said.

At the same time, the Rada Spokesperson Maria Deineko confirmed that the deputies gathered for a plenary session on March 15.

Earlier, a representative of the European Solidarity faction Oleksiy Honcharenko also said that Kyva had written a statement about the resignation as MP of Ukraine.

"Illia Kyva wrote a statement about leaving his deputy seat. In fact, there has been no such deputy as Kyva for a long time, there is a shell-shocked traitor Kyva. Now he cowardly hides somewhere in Spain. But we will find him after the victory and he will be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law," Honcharenko wrote on his Telegram channel.

In addition, he also said that MPs Ihor Abramovych, Tetiana Plachkova, Oleksandr Feldman and Vadym Stolar wrote a statement about leaving the Opposition Platform for Life parliamentary faction.
