Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) has reported about the attempts of the Russian military and armed groups of the so-called "LPR" to enter the territory of the Novopskov (Luhansk region) and Kupiansk (Kharkiv region) compressor stations, as well as to interfere in the operation of the GTS facilities.

"Intervention in the technological processes of the GTS operation creates significant risks for the safety of continuous gas transportation to consumers in Ukraine and Europe, and can lead to a technological disaster in the region," the Ukrainian operator said on Thursday morning.

In this regard, GTSOU demands that the military and armed groups immediately leave the territory of the compressor stations and stop trying to influence the operation of the GTS.

GTSOU notified law enforcement agencies, authorized public authorities, as well as PJSC Gazprom, which is the customer of the gas transportation service through Ukraine to Europe, about the emergency situation and the current threat.
