Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Odesa remain strategically important – Danilov

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov has said that Kyiv, Kharkov, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Odesa remain strategically important.

"The eleventh day of the heroic national resistance continues! We withstood the first, most difficult wave of Russian orc attacks. The myth of the most modern and powerful Putin's army in the world has been destroyed and burned on the roads of Kyiv and Kharkiv regions, Chernihiv and Mykolaiv regions. In no direction have Russian terrorist forces achieved strategic success. The Ukrainian army gives a worthy rebuff, and the day of our victory over the Russian chimera is approaching every day, but the enemy is still dangerous and is preparing the second wave of a large-scale offensive, to which we must approach as prepared and united as possible," Danilov wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the cities that remain strategically important are: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Odesa. "The enemy's plan is to encircle key cities, bleed the Ukrainian Armed Forces, create a situation of a humanitarian disaster for the civilian population," he said.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council said that the main attention of the command of the Russian occupation forces is shifting to the south, trying to deprive Ukraine of access to the Black and Azov Seas, which, in their opinion, will create conditions for the economic suppression of Ukrainian resistance.

"The enemy leaves no hope of capturing Kyiv and forms resources to cordon off Dnipro," he added.

Danilov said that the Ukrainian side is regrouping, replenishing with fresh reserves and saturating the Ukrainian army with the latest weapons.

"Never fight with the Ukrainians, sooner or later we will come to you to return all the debts you have accumulated, and the bill will run a century ahead," he said, appealling to the occupier.
