The Ukrainian delegation at the Ukrainian-Russian talks proposed the creation of a 30-kilometer zone without conflict around all nuclear facilities, but it has not yet been supported, Head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia has said.

"At the talks, we proposed to make a no-fly and generally conflict-free zone for 30 km, so that artillery would not reach, around all nuclear facilities. So far, the military on their part has not confirmed and says that together [with the staff of the Chornobyl NPP) we control Chornobyl [NPP] and protect it. And it happened right there in Zaporizhia, then it can happen in Yuzhnoukrainsk, for example," Arakhamia said at a joint press conference with adviser to the head of the presidential office Mykhailo Podoliak on Friday in Lviv.

According to Arakhamiya, there are "Chechen fighters" at the seized Ukrainian nuclear facilities.

"Now the so-called Kadyrov's people, Chechen fighters, are in charge of all nuclear civilian facilities," the head of the faction said.

At the same time, he added that employees "who control security" remained at the nuclear power plant, but it is not known "what is in the head of these Chechen fighters."

"In fact, specific terrorist groups have seized nuclear facilities... and this is a big threat," Arakhamia said.
