Networks of Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine and lifecell mobile operators are protected from hacking, unauthorized interference and wiretapping, the companies report.

"We inform you that the confidential information of lifecell subscribers is under reliable protection. The company uses encryption of all communication channels from the subscriber to the end equipment. Moreover, protection algorithms are constantly being improved, and lifecell supports the latest versions of such software," the operator's press service says.

Lifecell network complies with modern world and national information security standards ISO 9000, as well as industry protection standards such as PCI DSS, SOX ITGC.

"Also, our technical specialists are doing everything possible to promptly restore communication after damage," the operator clarifies.

All possible measures to protect their telecommunications networks and means of telecommunications are also taken by Vodafone Ukraine.

"The Vodafone Ukraine network is protected from external interference. The company takes all possible technical and organizational measures to protect its telecommunications networks and telecommunications facilities," the mobile operator emphasized.

The company said that unauthorized connection to switching equipment, leading and radio relay communication channels is excluded, since all telecom operators use a whole range of organizational, technical, software, hardware and cryptographic systems for protecting objects, equipment and information.

"Vodafone Ukraine has implemented a multi-level access control system to critical information systems, uses the most modern systems for detecting and preventing attacks, detecting and preventing leakage of confidential information, and continuously monitoring the security status," the company said.

The Kyivstar network is also protected from cyber threats and unauthorized interventions, the company's press service confirmed to Interfax-Ukraine.
