Prisoner swap talks between Russia and Ukraine are entering the final stage, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Eastern Economic Forum on Thursday.

"For humanitarian reasons, we are finalizing the talks with officials and other parties. I think a relevant announcement will be made soon enough," Putin said in response to the forum moderator's question when the exchange might be accomplished.
