Ombudswoman Denysova receives 212 appeals on violation of electoral rights

Liudmyla Denysova, the Verkhovna Rada commissioner for human rights, as of 17:00 on the day of the second round of the presidential election had received 212 appeals from citizens regarding violation of electoral rights.

"Most of all, citizens of Ukraine complain about inaccuracies in the voters lists. In particular, technical errors, misprints in the name, date of birth and residence address of voters. There were 74 such applications," the ombudswoman said.

In addition, citizens complain about the refusal to vote at the place of stay (17 appeals), as well as a lack of access to the polling station for persons with disabilities and the late opening of election polls.
