French, Canadian diplomats demand those responsible for Handziuk's death be brought to justice
The embassies of France and Canada to Ukraine state that it is necessary to find the perpetrators of the attack which led to the death of former acting administrator of the executive committee of Kherson City Council and advisor to the Kherson mayor Kateryna Handziuk and bring them to justice.
"A sad piece of news about the death of Kateryna Handziuk, the activist and fighter against corruption. The French Embassy expresses sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Handziuk. We urge the Ukrainian authorities to find the perpetrators of this tragedy and bring them to justice," the French embassy to Ukraine said on Twitter.
Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk also stressed the importance of punishing the guilty.
"The death of Kateryna Handziuk is a memento for everyone in the law enforcement system: those guilty of her barbaric murder should be punished," the Canadian diplomat wrote on Twitter.
