Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zhytomyr regions are the most comfortable regions for doing business in Ukraine, according to the Regional Doing Business 2018 rating, published by the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO) and the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP).

"Despite the positive dynamics, the Ukrainian regions have two global problems and they, unfortunately, remain unchanged. The first one is connection to power grids. In all the regions the situation has worsened over the past year. The second one is share participation in infrastructure development - a payment that has become corrupt," Vice President of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs Olena Shuliak said at a press conference in Kyiv.

The study is being conducted for the second year in a row. Some 1,300 entrepreneurs took part in the survey, she specified.

According to the results of the study, in the general rating Vinnytsia region increased its result by 8 points compared to the 2017 rating and received 334 points out of the maximum 600. At the same time, it showed the best result in all six categories: establishing an enterprise, obtaining permits for construction, land site registration, connection to power grids, payment of local taxes, and electronic services.

Ivano-Frankivsk region improved the result by one point compared to last year and scored 332 in the overall rating, Zhytomyr region received a total of 313 points, which is 11 points more than last year. The worst result was showed by Chernivtsi region with 247 points (13 more), Zaporizhia region with 253 points (2 less), and Luhansk region with 260 points (2 more).
