Two more ex-Berkut riot policemen notified of suspicion of illegal detention of Euromaidan participants in 2013

Two more former officers of the special unit Berkut of the Interior Ministry in Kyiv have been reported on suspicion of illegal detention of protesters during the Euromaidan protests in the autumn of 2013.

According to the results of the preliminary investigation of the crimes committed in Kyiv on November 30, 2013, two former Berkut riot policemen were informed about the unlawful detention of protesters and falsification in official documents concerning them, that is, in the commission of crimes pursuant to Part 1, Article 28, Article 365; Part 1, Article 28, Article 340, Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the Department of Special Investigations of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine said on Facebook on Friday.
