Russian Defense Ministry's 'finds' on MH17 crash will not help hide criminals - Zerkal

Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister for European Integration Olena Zerkal believes that the spread of bogus stories by the Russian side on an allegedly supposedly missile, which shot down a Malaysia Airlines passenger plane in the sky over Donbas in 2014, will not help hide criminals and free them from responsibility.

"The other 'finds' made public by the Russian Defense Ministry on September 17 regarding the circumstances of the MH17 crash are nothing more than a continuation of the Russian-style tactics of the creation of a 'smokescreen' and spread of false stories [...] All inventive theories and hints of Russian propaganda will not help hide criminals and free them from responsibility," she wrote on her Facebook page on Tuesday.

Zerkal recalled that Russia had not responded to numerous requests for information on a Buk missile from which the passenger plane was shot down, thus, in fact, having refused to cooperate with the Joint Investigation Team.

"No spectacular propaganda will prevent the establishment of the truth and the restoration of justice," she said.

Zerkal said that charges against those responsible for the crash of the airliner would be presented for trial in the near future.
