Kyiv is ready for compromises on the issue of exchange with Russia, but the name of RIA Novosti Ukraine chief Kirill Vyshinsky has never been mentioned in Minsk on the Trilateral Contact Group negotiation site, Iryna Gerashchenko, first deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and Ukraine's representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the trilateral contact group, said.

"Ukraine is ready for various compromises. The name of Vyshinsky has never been mentioned in Minsk. No one has ever raised it anywhere. Let them [Russia] make an offer, we will consider it," Gerashchenko said in an interview published in the Monday edition of the online publication Ukrayinska Pravda, responding to a question as to how realistic an exchange of Vyshinsky for Ukrainian citizen Roman Sushchenko convicted in Russia.

Kyiv suggests exchanging 36 Russian citizens convicted for crimes in Ukraine for the Ukrainian citizens who are in prison in Russia and on the territories of Donbas uncontrolled by Kyiv.

"We suggest giving 36 Russians. Take your criminals or crime suspects. Give us our people! And there has not been a response to that for three months!" Gerashchenko said.
