Opposition Bloc stands for abolition of parliamentary immunity for all MPs - Shurma on deputy immunity

The Opposition Bloc faction considers it expedient to cancel the deputy immunity for all members of parliament, so as not to turn consideration of each of the Prosecutor General's requests on parliamentarians into a show.

"I think everything that happens is as sad as today's presence of deputies [at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada], because every motion turns into a show. I suggest: let's take off this burden of immunity from ourselves," said an MP from Opposition Bloc faction Ihor Shurma, commenting at the request of journalists information on the introduction of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada of the request of giving the consent of the parliament to bring to justice the deputies from this faction, Oleksandr Vilkul and Dmytro Kolesnikov.

At the same time Shurma said: "I know not about their names, about which you speak. There is a lot of information. There is no reliable information. There is information about MP Ponomariov, indeed, about Kolesnikov, Dunayev."

As reported, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the request of giving consent to bringing to justice deputies Kolesnikov and Vilkul (both from the Opposition Bloc faction).
