Saakashvili intends to continue mass street protests, not deterred by criminal cases against him
Ex-Georgia President and leader of Movement of New Forces Party Mikheil Saakashvili has said he has no intention to cease staging mass political protests and stop looking for people to lead Ukraine because of criminal proceedings against him.
"They want to distract us from our political rallies. I will not be deterred. I intend, starting tomorrow, to travel around the country and search for people to become the nation's new leaders. We must find people, who can govern the country using different methods," Saakashvili told journalists on Wednesday following questioning at Ukraine's SBU Security Services.
"I will no longer pay attention to these criminal court proceedings, which they stage daily in order to deprive me from time to engage in other matters," he said.
