ATB wants to invest up to UAH 200 mln in reconstruction of logistic center in Lviv

The ATB Group, developing the eponymous retail chain in Ukraine, plans to invest around UAH 200 million in reconstruction of a warehouse complex with a gross area of 20,600 square meters located in Lviv and acquired in October 2017.

"The corporation intends to invest up to UAH 200 million in the acquired multifunctional logistics complex in Lviv. These funds will be needed for its reconstruction and bringing it to category A standards," General Director of ATB Corporation Boris Markov said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

In addition, he said a possibility of building a new logistics center in Odesa region is being studied.

"Today, we see a shortage of warehouses, which meet our requirements, in Odesa region, so we are considering a more complex, but more qualitative way - building our own facility," he said.

According to him, in April 2017, in Odesa a leased warehouse complex of class A with an area of about 18,000 square meters started operating. Its turnover is more than 310 tonnes per day.

"It provides the current needs of the ATB retail network in the region. The company plans to purchase a warehouse complex in Odesa region with an area of about 35,000 square meters and a capacity of more than 1,500 tonnes of average daily shipment in Odesa. The warehouse complex is needed to provide both a network development strategy and a comprehensive processing of products entering the network through the Odesa seaport," Markov said.

ATB-Market retail chain was founded in 1993.
