No fire, ammo blasts at military depots in Vinnytsia region

No fire and explosions of ammunition have been recorded at military depots near the town of Kalynivka, Vinnytsia region, as of the morning on Tuesday, October 3, the State Service for Emergency Situations (SSES) has reported.

"As of 07.00 on October 3, no fire and explosions of ammunition were observed at the depots," a report on the SSES website says.

It notes that the SSES's combined pyrotechnic unit (108 people and 41 pieces of equipment) are cleaning up the territory from explosive objects in a ten-kilometer area around the ammo depots. The unit examined 18,300 hectares of territory for the presence of explosive objects and is continuing to fulfill applications from the public to detect suspicious items. In total, 341 applications have been received and fulfilled so far. Some 720 explosive items were found and seized.

As many as 1,578 people and 304 pieces of equipment are involved in cleaning up the aftermath of the emergency situation. In particular, they include 218 people and 77 units of equipment from SSES, 37 people and eight units of equipment from the National Police, 20 National Guard officers, 1,077 people and 195 units of equipment from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 174 people and 20 units of equipment from the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), as well as 52 people and four fire trains from Ukrzaliznytsia.

The report notes that the educational process at preschool and educational institutions was resumed on October 2. Gas supply to populated centers has been fully restored.

Flight restrictions within a five-kilometer radius from Kalynivka are still in force.
