Sakvarelidze returns back to Ukraine, saluted with cheers in Zhuliany

At the night into Friday, Ex-Ukrainian Deputy Prosecutor General and a representative of the Rukh Novykh Syl (Movement of New Forces) party David Sakvarelidze returned to Ukraine.

He was greeted by fellow party members and ordinary citizens in Kyiv airport Zhuliany. Video of the meeting was posted on the party's page on Facebook.

"I want to say huge sincere thanks to my friends, like-minded people and all those people who have came to the airport today to support me and our whole team! Thank you for your participation and readiness to continue fighting for the bright future of our beautiful country!" Sakvarelidze wrote on his Facebook page on Friday night.

In addition, he said at the airport that Saakashvili had been wronged, but the ex-president of Georgia intends to return to Ukraine and continue the political struggle.

"Mikheil [Saakashvili] had been treated the way the Ukrainians have been treated for 25 years. They treated him like an ordinary Ukrainian (...) so, I think that this again emphasizes that Mikheil took the right side - the side of ordinary people (...) He remained on our side. Our struggle is underway. We will start our work and quickly return Mikheil to Ukraine just in a few days. Thank you all. It's just the beginning. Together we will win," said the former deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine.

He said that Saakashvili would come to Ukraine with the Ukrainian passport.

"He will be probably met by thousands of times more people than now, since Mikheil does not decide whether to come or not (...) This is decided by the Ukrainian people. If the Ukrainian people decide that he should come, he will come (...). He will arrive with the Ukrainian passport, and will continue fighting until the end, as an ordinary Ukrainian citizen should fight," Sakvarelidze said.

Answering journalists' question about his own situation, the former deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine expressed confidence in his actions.

"Let them decide. I'm not going anywhere. I'm ready for any scenario. We'll take it all manly. Like Ukrainians, like Georgians (...) We'll move on. They won't stop us with a pen and a signature, by means of these decrees," he said.

Earlier, Kyiv airport Zhuliany announced about fire and asked to leave the building waiting for the arrival of David Sakvarelidze.

"At Zhuliany airport, where David Sakvarelidze is due to arrive in 20 minutes, it was announced about fire and asked to leave the building. We came to meet David. We are waiting," the message posted on the party's Facebook page on Friday night, says.

As reported, Sakvarelidze said that he might not be admitted to Ukraine when he would arrive at Zhuliany airport (Kyiv) on Friday night.
