One Ukrainian serviceman killed, 6 wounded in Donbas in past 24 hours
Ukrainian army positions in Donbas have come under 45 attacks in the past 24 hours, the Anti-Terrorist operation (ATO) staff said on Facebook on Friday morning.
"One Ukrainian serviceman was killed in the hostilities during the day, and six more servicemen sustained injuries. In addition, an attack of the hostiles inflicted traumas on seven Ukrainian border guards," the staff said.
According to Ukrainian border guards, eight officers suffered concussions and buildings and vehicles were damaged in an artillery attack on positions of the Donetsk border unit stationed in the urban-type settlement of Sartana (under the jurisdiction of the Kalmiusky District Council of Mariupol).
"More than 40 artillery shells were fired on the border unit in the period from 6:30 p.m. till 7 p.m. Buildings and, partially, vehicles were damaged. None of the border guards was killed, but eight border officers suffered concussions," the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service said.
