Militants fire on residential sector of Zaitseve, Armed Forces' positions from prohibited weapons
On Wednesday militants fired on Zaitseve populated area and the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements, the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) of the ceasefire in Donbas region has reported.
"Since the beginning of the day, militants have violated the ceasefire regime more than 50 times. A residential building in the village of Zaitseve was fired on Manuyilskoho Street. The inhabitants of the house, fortunately, were not injured," the JCCC said on the official website of the press centre of the ATO headquarters.
In addition, the ATO positions near the settlements of Novotoshkivske and Krymske were fired by militants from artillery of 152 mm and 122 mm caliber and mortars of 120 mm and 82 mm caliber, while strongholds in the outskirts of Avdiyivka - from artillery of 122 mm caliber and mortars of 82 mm caliber.
"Thus, illegal armed groups of ORDLO, despite the fact that a regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group was held in Minsk on June 7, demonstrate their disregard for the Minsk agreements, and the wish for further aggravation of the armed conflict in Donbas," a report says.
