The priority case investment department in the economic area of Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) is investigating into a kidnapping of former Board Chairman of private joint-stock company Naftogazvydobuvannia Oleh Seminsky, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

"The head of this company [Naftogazvydobuvannia] was kidnapped. He appeared early this year… He came to the PGO looking very badly and claimed that the Moldavan group was detaining him for three years. This case is being investigated by the department of Mr. Hutsuliak [the head of the priority case investment department in the economic area Volodymyr Hutsuliak] and Dmytro Sus is deputy chief investigator in the case," he said.

Lutsenko said that the PGO has information that an assassination attempt against Sus is being prepared

"Different witnesses were questioned as part of the investigation of the case. The key witness questioned by Sus was spectacularly shot at Kyiv's streets at once after the questioning. At the same moment we received information from security services that investigator Sus will be next," he said.

Lutsenko believes that Sus had grounds to take measures to detain persons who chased him, (who occurred to be officers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, NABU).

Naftogazvydobuvannia is a large price gas producer in Ukraine. Its key shareholder is Rinat Akhmetov's DTEK.
