PGO: Former first deputy Rada speaker Kaletnik illegally acquired 14 hectares of land outside Kyiv
The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) is investigating the illegal transfer of 14 hectares of land outside of Kyiv to the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ihor Kaletnik, the chief of the PGO's department for investigating special economic cases Volodymyr Hutsulyak has said.
"Also being investigated is the fact of transfer of 14 hectares (from a 890 hectare land parcel) by means of first transferring title to 141 front men, and ultimately to Kaletnik," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
No suspects have been named during the course of the criminal probe opened according to article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (misuse of official position), but a list of suspects will be prepared in the near future.
