Situation in Cabinet will change after resonance caused by his resignation, announcement of its reasons - Abromavicius

Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius has stated that without structural changes in the Cabinet of Ministers the coming of professionals from the private sector is impossible there, however, he believes that in the future the situation will change and there will be the "second wave."

"Have I changed my mind? Over the last week, in my opinion, nothing has changed, therefore to go back to where I was leaving on my own initiative, well ... Of course, a few months ago I did not want to leave, because we haven't done half of the planned, and my team is professional and qualitative, there were no complaints. And now the president says "return," and the premier says "return under personal protection." There were no claims against us as professionals, much has been done and it was planned to do more," he told reporters after testifying in the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

He expressed opinion that expert executives cannot enter the government until serious structural changes take place.

"But given this resonant case, I believe that we will have a kind of the second wave and people from the private sector will work for the government. But for this we need to perform some serious demands and I think this will be discussed in the next few days," the minister said.
